Making Compliance Impossible to Ignore

Project;
High Five Hand Hygiene Program | Integrated Program Toolkit
Responsibilities:
Art Direction, Graphic Design, Print Collateral, Training Video, Digital Communications, Toolkit Development.
The Bottom Line:
Ecolab’s marketing director and product manager built High Five, a five-step hand hygiene program. I designed everything that took it into hospitals: posters, brochure, training video, app, and a customizable toolkit.
"The program was already strong. My job was to make sure no one could say they didn't know."
Case Study:
Ecolab’s marketing director and product manager developed High Five, a five-step approach to hand hygiene covering planning, installation, training, awareness, and monitoring. The program was strong. The problem was people. Hospital staff forget, or say they didn’t know. I worked closely with the team to design materials that put the program at every touchpoint, so there was no excuse.
I started with mini posters at handwashing stations, quick reminders right where staff needed them. I designed a brochure to introduce the program and its products to hospital administrators, then carried the same visual system into a training video and an app. Each piece had its own job and the same look and message.
Hospitals also needed to roll it out without calling a designer. So I built a customer toolkit with ready-to-use wall cards, table tents, posters, and buttons in two design themes. Each hospital picked the look that fit its environment and deployed it themselves, with every piece still tied to High Five.
The result:Ecolab’s reps had an easier sell. The toolkit gave hospitals everything they needed to put the program in place and keep it enforced. Competitors offered only basic materials.
